I work in both porcelain and stoneware, working on the wheel my influences are found in British studio and the aesthetic ethos promoted by its traditional proponents.

I believe a good pot has a harmonious interaction between form, glaze and firing and that these aspects together provide enough interest to a piece; it is to allow these interactions full liberty that I do not use a contrived picture or motif form of decoration.

Alex uses Special Porcelain and numerous other clays.
